The Drifter was a board that I designed for bigger surf. I specifically made it to surf a few different waves in Indo ... one being a bombie that I needed the length and paddle power to get into bigger open ocean swells, and the other being a big walled very carvable wave. I pushed the wide point forward to give it even more foam under your chest. The tail is a pulled in pin tail that is very responsive on big open walls.
I take one with me when I'm going on a trip that I might see some bigger surf and I've come to find that it handles very well paddling into some hollow beach breaks letting me in early and holding the line through the tube really well.
